For fifteen years Luke Moore has lived by three rules stay off his father's radar, never spend more than a single night with any man, and never fall in love again. But one night of explosive sex and two men he can't get out of his head have Luke breaking every one of his rules. Richard and Matthew push him past all his boundaries—both sexually and personally—and now he's no longer hiding from his senator father. He's taking him on. And he isn't just falling for one man. He's falling for two. If you're going to break the rules, might as well break them big.

But Luke's father has his reasons for hating how his son lives, and he'll do whatever he can and use all his power to keep Luke away from Richard and Matthew.

Can this threesome find a way to make their unconventional relationship last with the world around them trying to pull them apart? And will Luke be able to keep breaking his rules for Richard and Matthew, or will he head back to his old way of life just when his new lovers want to pull him closer?

This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and an all-male menage relationship.

I really enjoyed this menage and one point in particular that really drew me in was that the men came together as three individuals in a club for what was to be a one-off. I am trying to think back on the books I've read so far, and am having trouble thinking of another one that did not involve a third entering into a relationship with an already established couple.

Yes, there is a lot of sex, but that was what brought the men together in the first place. In between the sex though, we got to see the men navigating something new to them. While Matthew was clearly yearning for a relationship, the other two men Richard and Luke (who is the only POV we get) were both a bit older and a bit wary for their own different reasons. There were three clear personalities in the story even though it is Luke's growth we follow the closest. The underlying story with Luke's father held my interest, but it was really the story of the three men coming together that made the story.

Triad stories are difficult for me to believe. I’ve read few where all three men are equal, so it doesn’t feel as if the third is left out. This is not one of them, while the writer writes Luke, Richard and Matthew as if they’re all one entity, it’s not how it comes across. Richard and Luke are in love and Matthew is just something pretty to play with, even calling Matthew “Kid” as a term of endearment, it feels as if they did not listen when he says he feels intimidated about the age and success factor.

The parts with Luke’s father, it’s very soap opera ish and the single POV, usually I don’t mind it when it’s in the form of narrator but to only see Luke’s POV was weird and hell, we never even know what Luke looks like.

Overall interesting but it seemed more like Richard and Luke’s story with Matthew on the side.
Amazing story of three different men making their alternative lifestyle work despite outside forces. Richard is the older, successful dominant personality. He offers the stability to hold the relationship together when his professional life takes a few hits. Matthew adds youth and innocence despite how he has been treated in the past. Then there is Lukas, who much of the book revolves. He is hiding from his life and his overly ambitious and cruel father. That is until it all catches up to him and he is forced to choose between the family he wants or to keep running.

Book 1 has a great ending and can be read as a standalone, but i can't wait to read the next chapter in their lives when it continues in the next book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first story I have read written by Sloan Parker and I must admit I was pretty surprised. The characters seemed to just click and very quickly. Due to their ummm situation when they all met I can understand that instant click but as the story moved on, their relationship moved from a reality-based tale to fantasy. At least it did for me. I found the amount of sex to be pretty hot, well more than pretty, so hot that I had to put my down quite a bit because of the heat. There's nothing wrong with it but it seemed that's all they did. If there was a problem, sex, if they were bored, bam sex, watching the other cook, more sex. I would have liked to see more mundane things people in a relationship do. Too see them learn each other by other means than sex.
Moving on the the angst of the story, it blew my mind and is definitely full of drama and over the top. It is something you would see in a movie which I enjoyed immensely. It took the fantasy to another level and I found myself at the edge of my seat while reading about it. The conclusion was kind of anticlimactic as the fantasy and my own imagination ran wild. This is not necessarily a bad thing, at least not in my opinion, it shows Sloan Parker's writing skills are pretty darn good that I was able to get so lost in the plot that I could take her story and exaggerate it while reading. I will definitely add Sloan Parker to my author-watch list.
This is my first story by this author, and I will say that some if it was pretty good. I say some of it because the sex took away from it. I hate books that have so much unnecessary sex that every time I know it's about to start I skip over it. When they were angry or frustrated, they had sex; when they were sad or depressed, they had sex; happy, sex; confused, sex. And whenever any of them had a problem, how did the other 2 decide to help solve it? Yep, more sex. It became so annoying and so frustrating. It really did take away from the story, IMO. And there was NO romance. I understand that they thought it would be kind of awkward for 3 guys to be out on a romantic date, but 3 guys can go to a game or a movie or to get pizza and just play it platonic. But I guess that wouldn't work here since as long as they were in each other's presence for 30 minutes or longer, they'd have their hands down each other's pants. But still, there were no flowers, gifts, or anything. And they were all constantly working.

I hated that there was no indication of time passage whatsoever. I knew they had been together for months, but how many months? And when it seemed like it had only been maybe 1 month, I turn the page and it's Christmas! And they didn't even exchange gifts! What kind of relationship is that? And what happened to Thanksgiving? Then by the end of the story, you still have no idea how long it's been, because it still says "months". There is no character development for Matthew, beyond knowing what his relationship is like with his mother at that current point in his life. We get 1 story from college and that's it. What about history & background? And what about his mother? Was she too sick or old that she couldn't work? Why did Matthew have to help so much with her bills even after he was gone? All we know about Richard besides what he did for a living and his 1 bad relationship. Which I still didn't quite understand how just 1 year later he was desperate to have the very thing that he didn't want with his previous partner.

The plot line involving Luke's dad was pretty good, but also pretty obvious. I figured out the thing with Danny Conner, I figured out his dad's "other secret", and I figured out what his dad was doing to Richard's business, all WAY before those things were revealed. And there is no resolution whatsoever! What happened to Luke's dad and to Fowler? What happened with Luke's mom and their relationship? What happened with Matthew going to school? What happened with Richard's business and his clients? Is the only way to find all this out to read the sequel? If so, then I'll pass. This thing was 41 chapters and I promise you at least 10 of them were unnecessary. And to have to deal with more sex on every other page? No, thanks.
